SOMATOFIT
Helped the Founder Hannah Fink take her prototype pilates concept that was Aesthetic design based and transformed it into a functional , manufacturable and reliable product - The Somato Pilates Reformer.
Helped setup the product development process, best design practices, introduced and managed vendor communication. Took the design from concept to two rounds of prototyping upto PVT stage.
Additionally, helped hire an intern, trained the team on GD&T , tolerance analysis, structural analysis and validation test planning.
Foot Bar Mechanism
Designed a foot bar mechanism that allowed the lateral bar [ footbar ] to be held at three different angles as the user performed exercises.
Mechanism was designed to be CNC Machined with stress and fatigue analysis to ensure that it can withstand several 1000 cycles.
Al 7000 and stainless steel parts were used to maintain light weight and ensure corrosion resistance induced by sweat


Spring Lock Twist Buttons
Spring pin loaded twist lock mechanism was used to ensure that once a particular resistance band is engaged, it remains locked as the user performs various exercises. The Button itself is injection molded.
Pilates Reformer
Additional mechanisms including,
