STEADY STATE THERMAL ANALYSIS OF DISCÂ BRAKE
A steady state thermal analysis for a disc brake was done using ANSYS

INTRODUCTION
A disc brake was chosen in order to perform steady state thermal analysis.
MESHING
Proximity mesh was chosen along with a maximum size of 8mm and minimum size of 4mm

BOUNDARY CONDITIONS
The temperature at the disc was considered to be 800 deg C and a natural convection heat transfer from a cylinder option was chosen for the inner cylindrical feature.
TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION
The temperature distribution can viewed in the image with a maximum of 800 deg C and min of 753.4Â deg C
