The following product addresses the problem of finding a means of providing a portable seat that fits in your backpack

DESIGN PROCESS
Subsequent to collecting customer requirements through surveys and interviews, a list of requirements and their importance was determined using the Need and Importance table
COMPRESSED STATE
Following image shows the seat in a compressed state which allows the user to carry it comfortably in a backpack  and deploy as per requirement


OPEN STATE
Following shows the same product in a deployed state where in it has been extended and the height can be adjusted as per the users requirements.Â
The red colored side panels provide seating comfort while the central bar is telescopic in nature allowing for a variety of widths. Moreover, the base contains a bushing and spring to allow for damped and smooth functioning.
